My Opinion

(4 / 5) Oona is a music- loving, band playing 19yo who, on her birthday, jumps to a different year of her life. Sometimes it’s backwards, sometimes it’s forward but she never knows. The only thing to help her along, is a letter she writes to herself. She endures hardships and trials out of order and it is so interesting to read how she deals with situations with what info she is given. Sometimes she has no info and has to fake it but sometimes she has info from jumps to her later years.

I loved going on this journey with her. I found myself so curious about each jump. I looked forward to characters and felt the ups and downs right along with Oona. It was well written and entertaining while also touching. The music she listened to and raves about was so fun to hear. Oona learned a lot from each jump and it was fascinating to see how that shaped her. Learning about life and what is important was huge for her.

The content had language with quite a few F words.There was sex, especially in some very promiscuous years. Hard drugs and alcohol were prevalent quite a few times. I recommend this for those who love stories about contemporary, self discovery or who just need a good, light hearted read.
