My Opinion

(4 / 5) Una gets a posh job working as an in-home caretaker for a wealthy elderly woman. She soon learns that the previous girls in her same position have been killed or missing. She wonders if she’s safe?

Starting this book I was so intrigued. The mystery had a lot that needed answers and I couldn’t put my finger on it. Then halfway through the book, the POV changes and boom, I was hooked!

Elspeth is manipulative to others and her daughters. She is such an interesting character! Kathryn (Elspeth’s daughter), is desperate for love and attention, even as an adult. Throw them together with a young, pretty, attention-getter and problems arise. I tried to guess multiple times what was going on but never even came close. That was a great twist!

Content Summary: F words: 28, language, missing college age women, death by hit and run, possible suicide- a body is found beneath a bridge, domestic abuse, previous drug overdose death, adoption, youth drugs and drinking, death by head injury and hypothermia, embezzlement.
