My Opinion

(4 / 5) This was a cute, sweet and just what I needed! Evie is character who was strong and confident until a social media post took her life in a downward spiral.

The characters were definitely what made this book. Evie was maddening but also very understandable. I wanted to yell at her a few times because she made stupid decisions! And she was a bit snotty and judgmental to begin with. She definitely had great character development and I think the social media drama was to her benefit at the end.

Milo. Oh he was scrumptious. Did I say that out loud? He sang and played the guitar but was kind and considerate and well-rounded. He was my fav and I wanted more scenes with him! His relationship with Evelyn was definitely a bonus because he truly cared for this woman and didn’t use her for her fame and money. I really liked that about him. Evelyn was a bit difficult. I wanted to like her and for the most part I did, but I needed more information about her. I had information about her but I think I needed more FROM her and I didn’t get that until the end. And the bestie? I wanted to slap her. Someone should have! Even the side characters of Milo’s friends were fun and I liked each one.

For someone who doesn’t love romances, this was cute. I love the fame aspect being thrown in because that makes everything a little more fun and dramatic.

Content Summary: I really wish there weren’t those 3 F words because I think younger teens will love this. The romance was mild and everything else would fit except for those F words. There is alcohol and partying but most of those characters (minus one instance) are over 18 so it seemed more appropriate than high schoolers.
