My Opinion

4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5) I was fully entertained in this book. It moves at a fast pace, has great characters and just enough intrigue to keep you interested throughout. I loved the survival aspect of her out in the wild and how she learned so much about herself. She came out a better person by trusting in herself and her abilities. She also learned to trust others and it shows the benefit of that and also working together. They were able to overcome huge fears and I loved watching that play out.

This was my second Levenseller book and I’m really liking her writing. She has the ability to weave a story that keeps me interested and keeps me thinking about it all day long. THAT marks a great book/author. The characters are well thought out with differing personalities and I feel connected to each one. I found my face registering many expressions while reading and that helps me know how much I’m invested in the characters and story.

The content had some violence, mostly killing creatures, but there was a lot of blood at times. People fight too and one death is fairly bloody. The intimacy is low with mostly kissing. I recommend this for those who love viking stories (this is viking INSPIRED) and adventure with survival and a little bit of romance.
